Managing access

In AppMetrica, your account structure includes two core entities:

  • Organization.
  • Apps (one or more).

The organization entity groups together all the apps within it. Even if you only have one app, it must belong to an organization.

An organization owner is the user whose username was used to register an AppMetrica personal account. You can't change the owner, but you can transfer apps to a different organization if you need to.

At the organization level, you can:

  • View aggregate statistics for custom events, the DSA, and the antifraud system (across all apps).
  • Activate paid plans, issue invoices, and top up your balance.
  • View the list of employees with access to the organization.

By default, only the organization owner can perform these actions. But they can grant access for other users, for example, their colleagues or agency representatives.

Access permissions at the app level are managed separately and don't overlap with those at the organization level. For example, a user who only has access to an organization can't view the analytics for a specific app, and a user with access only to an app can't view organization-wide statistics, issue an invoice, or check event limits.

If a user needs control over all processes, they should be granted access to both the organization and apps.

Grant a user access to an organization

Initially, only the owner of an organization can grant access to it. Further on, any user with edit rights can do this.

To grant a user access to an organization, follow these steps:

  1. At the top of the page, click To organization. If you don't see this button, this means you don't have sufficient access rights.

  2. Go to Employees and click Grant access. The Access to the organization window will open.

  3. Enter the username (the part of an email address preceding @yandex.ru) of a user.

  4. Select an access level:

    • Edit: The user will get full rights, same as the organization owner.
    • View: The user will be able to view the organization's settings and statistics.

To withdraw access rights from a user, use the Revoke access option.

You can always view the list of users with access to an organization in the Employees section.

Grant a user access to an app

Initially, only an owner can grant access to an app. Further on, any user with edit rights can do this.

To give another user access to your app's statistics:

  1. Go to SettingsManage access.

  2. Enter the Yandex email address (login) of the user to grant access to. If this person doesn't have a Yandex account yet, they need to create one.

  3. Choose the access level in the drop-down list:

    • Read only — The user can view settings and statistics for your app and create and edit funnels. They can't edit funnels that were created by other users.

    • Read/Edit — The user has full access to app management (except deleting the app).

You can also add access for an agency and specify events and advertising partners that might be of interest to the agency. There are several access levels available:

    • Agency: read only — The user can only view app settings and statistics for selected traffic sources and target events.

    • Agency: read/edit — The user can change app settings, configure and create trackers, and view statistics for selected traffic sources and target events.

  4. Click Add. An email message will be sent to the specified address with a link to the app statistics in the AppMetrica web interface.
